There are a lot of Wordpress plugins making SEO a lot easier job like All in one SEO pack. Search for more Wordpress SEO plugins there are really a lot there now.

Wordpress cached was always problemous yes. Regularly deleting all the cache files is always a good idea.

It is called Wordpress permalinks. I prefer them in the SEO format oh /topic.html
