Generally, rebuilding an IP address pool isn't needed due to the way that cPanel servers are configured. However, sometimes when you add more IP addresses to your cPanel server, cPanel doesn't update fully and a cPanel IP pool rebuild is required for the new IPs to become available for use. To do this, please follow the below outlined is a way to rebuild the cPanel VPS IP address pool step-by-step:

  • Login to the WHM to your cPanel VPS (This information in the welcome email)
  • Scroll down on the left hand side until you come to the section of "IP Functions"
  • Next, please click on "Rebuild the IP Address Pool"
  • And now, please click on "Proceed" to complete the process

If rebuilding the IP address pool doesn't resolve the issue, then there might be other factors at work within your cPanel VPS server. You may want to get in contact with our cPanel VPS support team to assist you in getting this issue resolved.

New cPanel versions seems doing this automatically cause we were not using this IP rebuild feature lately on our VPS.
