Why do I get an error saying that a form can’t be configured to send results?

Due to Microsoft’s initial design of FrontPage, you may receive an error message when trying to submit a FrontPage form. If so, the error message below is the one you should receive:

This form cannot be configured to send results via email. The website may be located at a disk based location, or on a server that has not been configured to send email.

The aforementioned error means that the FrontPage extensions can’t handle the request directly on the Linux/Unix server. As such, we would strongly advise that you use another form to email script, such as Formmail to complete this task. Otherwise, you may wish to use the php mail() function directly on the server.
