How do I install HostBill?

The process for installing HostBill is rather simple and only takes a few minutes to complete. Nonetheless, we strongly advise that you review the basic system requirements. Please follow the step-by-step directions outlined below.

HostBill System Requirements:

• MySQL 5.x
• PHP 5.2+
• PHP-json
• PHP-curl
• PHP-curl-ssl
• IonCube Loader

HostBill Installation Instructions:

Please be advised that this tutorial assumes that you’ve already downloaded the HostBill installation files to your computer and are ready to upload them into your installation directory. If not, please complete this process prior to continuing with the steps outlined below.

• Login to your web hosting account via FTP
• Navigate to the installation directory you’d wish to use
• Upload the recently downloaded HostBill installation files via FTP
• Once uploaded visit the installation folder via a web browser such as;

  # http://your-web-site.com/install

• Complete the installation process via your web browser
• Finally, make the necessary adjustments indicated below via FTP

  Permissions: chmod 755 ./admin/cron.php
  Permissions: chmod 755 ./admin/pipe.php
  Remove Directory: ./install

HostBill Cron Job Instructions:

Once the aforementioned items have been completed, we’ll need to make a cron job for HostBill to function correctly. Please follow the step-by-step directions outlined below (instructions intended for cPanel):

• Login to your cPanel web hosting account
• Locate the section entitled "Advanced"
• Next, click on the "Cron Jobs" Icon
• Finally, create a cron job by setting the following parameters:

  */5 * * * * php -q /home/example/public_html/admin/cron.php
