How would I reset the admin password for ZenCart?

Resetting the administrator password for ZenCart isn’t complicated, but it does require some basic web hosting skills. Please follow the step-by-step directions outlined below:

  • Login to your cPanel web hosting account
  • Next, locate the section entitled "Databases"
  • From there, click on the "PHPMyAdmin" icon
  • Once loaded, select the database for ZenCart from the left-side menu
  • Then, locate the table called "zen_admin" table and click "browse"
  • Finally, locate the field called "admin_pass" row and click on the "pencil" icon
  • Enter in the following string: 351683ea4e19efe34874b501fdbf9792:9b
  • When ready click "Go" to submit the changes!

Upon completion, your ZenCart password for your admin login will be reset to "admin". Please login to your ZenCart and change this password to a new one.
